Interactive Phonemic Chart

Make sure you can pronounce all the sounds in English. Click on each of the phonetic symbols and listen to its pronunciation and the example given. Repeat both the sound and the example as accurately as possible.
As a follow-up, look up the words you've learnt more recently and pronounce them looking at the phonetic transcription.

  1. Thank U very much PILAR !!. This is something I've looking for years !!!, because Phonetics is, quite often, students' nightmare in every language ( particularly in English, where there are no fixed phonetic rules, as it happens in German ).

Remember your fisrt steps in English, when you had to face words as "yatch", "weird", "salvage" and so on.

I'm going to send this link to all my friends who are "dummies" in English.
